Our Asheville canoe bar crawl begins near the River Arts District, where your canoeing gear and friendly guide will be waiting. From there, you’ll paddle an adventurous section of the French Broad River — one of the oldest rivers on the planet — past some of the best spots in Beer City USA. Along the way, we’ll stop at three locations: Wrong Way Cabins overlooking the river, Wedge Brewery or Hi-Wire Brewery, and New Belgium Brewery. Wedge, Hi-Wire and New Belgium offer great food options, and non-drinkers will find plenty of sightseeing nearby. Since each trip varies based on weather and group preferences, your guide will make sure everyone has the best experience possible. Additionally, we are dog friendly — feel free to bring your furry friend, though a dog PFD is recommended. Please note that a four person minimum is required to book.
We require a four person minimum. We are dog friendly for our canoe trips so feel free to bring your furry friend. A dog PFD is recommended.

Our trips start and end at different places, so here are your transportation options:
A) Arrange your own shuttle if you have 2 vehicles — it’s a 10 minute drive between spots. B) Use a rideshare — Uber, Lyft, Taxi, or AVL Ride are all great options. C) For large groups, our partner www.AshevilleBreweryTours.com offers shuttle service. Call 828-233-5006, mention Cedar Rock Adventures, and they’ll give you a great rate.
We start at 220 Hominy Creek Rd, Hominy Creek River Park. If you hit a traffic line near the meeting spot, you’re in the right place — the county trash transfer station is just before our put-in.
The tour ends at New Belgium Brewery on Craven St. From there it’s a 4-mile walk along the river bike path or a 10-minute rideshare back to the start. Vehicles can safely be left overnight at both Hominy Creek River Park and New Belgium Brewery.
Bar Crawl Tour is catered to adult drinking age but 18+ can join with their parents.
We recommend parking at Hominy Creek River Park which is where we start the trip. Cars can be left overnight at both New Belgium Brewery & Hominy Creek River Park at no charge. We end the trip New Belgium Brewery. We recommend having a designated drive retrieve the car when it is safe to do so.
